Beginning Wednesday, October 11, and anticipated to last through Wednesday, October 25, weather permitting, Church Street will close to northbound traffic between South University Avenue and Geddes Avenue for road resurfacing and installation of a new mid-block crosswalk. Southbound traffic will be maintained, including access to the Church Street Parking Structure’s west entrances. During the installation of the mid-block crosswalk there will be temporary sidewalk closures for concrete curb and sidewalk ramp construction. Pedestrian detour routes will be posted.
Then beginning Monday, October 16 , and anticipated to last through Wednesday, October 25, weather permitting, South University Avenue will close to eastbound traffic between Church Street and South University Avenue for road resurfacing. Westbound traffic will be maintained.
During these closures, traffic will be detoured westerly on South University Avenue, southerly on South State Street, easterly on Hill Street and northerly on Washtenaw Avenue. See attached map for vehicle detour routes.
