Beginning Thursday, September 21 and anticipated to last through Friday, September 29, East Madison Street will be closed in to all through vehicle traffic between South Main Street and South Fourth Avenue for installation of a new water main across the South Main Street and East Madison Street intersection. The detour for eastbound East Madison Street traffic shall be northbound South Main Street to eastbound Packard Street to southbound South Fourth Avenue, back to East Madison Street. The detour for westbound East Madison Street shall be northbound South Fourth Avenue to westbound Packard Street, then southbound on South Main Street back to West Madison Street. See attached map for detour routes. Pedestrian access will be maintained along the north side of East Madison Street.
