Intermittent lane closures on Hubbard Street immediately east of the Hubbard Street/Hayward Street intersection are scheduled to begin on Monday, July 14 to facilitate the construction of a driveway into the North Campus Research Complex accessing the NC90 and NC91 parking lots.  The project scope also includes adding a sidewalk from Hubbard Street to the NC90 parking lot.  For safety purposes, the south half of the NC90 parking lot will be closed.  Commuters will be able to park in the north half of the lot, but will be directed to walk around the construction site, to the west side of the construction site to get to the Hubbard/Hayward Streets intersection.  During construction, the north sidewalk along Hubbard Street will be closed between Huron Parkway and Hayward Street.  Pedestrian traffic will be directed to use the sidewalk on the south side of Hubbard Street.  Bus stops at the Hubbard Street/Hayward Streets intersection will not be affected during construction.  It is anticipated that the project will take approximately 3 to 4 weeks to complete, weather dependent.
