Lane closures on various streets around Michigan Stadium for U-M Football Game Days

Various lane closures will once again be in effect around Michigan Stadium during 2015 home football games in order to enhance security measures and improve pedestrian safety on the following Saturdays: September 12, September 19, September 26October 10, October 17November 7, and November 28.  Scheduled lane closures include:

  • East Keech Street between South Main Street and Greene Street, limiting access to parking permit holders on Greene Street from East Hoover Avenue and East Keech Street
  • The westbound right-turn lane on East Stadium Boulevard (onto South Main Street) just south of Michigan Stadium
  • South Main Street between Pauline Boulevard and East Stadium Boulevard

The duration of these closures will be three hours before each home football game until the end of each game (i.e., beginning at 9:00 AM for the September 12 noon game), with the exception of southbound South Main Street, which will be closed one hour prior to the beginning of each game until the end of each game.  Additional information on game day lane closures, traffic, and city parking restrictions can be found at http://www.a2gov.org/news/pages/article.aspx?i=179.
