Beginning Thursday, May 28 and lasting until Wednesday, July 22, lane closures will be in place on the Maiden Lane bridge over the Huron River between Island Drive and Fuller Road in order for repairs to be made to the bridge. For approximately the first four weeks of construction, vehicular traffic crossing the Maiden Lane bridge will be one-way southbound only toward the U-M Hospital. Northbound traffic will be detoured via Fuller Road, Glen Avenue, East Huron Street, North Division Street, and Broadway Street back to Maiden Lane. During the final approximately four weeks of construction, two-way traffic across the Maiden Lane bridge will be restored. Pedestrian traffic crossing the Maiden Lane bridge will be maintained throughout the project. While the work on the Maiden Lane bridge is occurring, the Fuller Road and East Medical Center Drive bridges will be fully open to traffic.
