Beginning Monday, June 16 and lasting until Friday, October 31, Pontiac Trail between Skydale Drive and the bridge over M14/US23 will be closed to through traffic for road construction and utility work. Southbound traffic will be intercepted at the intersection of Nixon Road and Pontiac Trail and will be routed south on Nixon Road to Plymouth Road. Northbound traffic will be intercepted at the intersection of Plymouth Road, Moore Street, Broadway Street and Maiden Lane and will be directed westbound on Plymouth Road to Nixon Road. In addition, the four-way stop at the Dhu Varren Road / Green Road / Nixon Road intersection will be modified during construction to improve traffic flow. The stop signs on Nixon Road will be removed and traffic on Nixon Road will not be required to stop. This is a temporary measure and the intersection will be returned to a four-way stop after construction.
