Beginning Wednesday, May 24 and anticipated to last through Saturday, July 8, weather permitting, South Division Street between Packard Street and East Huron Street will undergo construction with shifting lane closures for road resurfacing and curb/ramp/sidewalk improvements. At least one lane of traffic will be maintained northbound at all times and access to the Thompson Street Parking Structure entrance/exit will be maintained. On-street metered parking may be closed in work areas. Pedestrian access into businesses will be maintained with the use of temporary surfaces (e.g., rubber mats). The project will also include construction of new curbs and pedestrian ramps at the South Division Street intersections with East Jefferson Street, East William Street, East Liberty Street, and East Washington Street, which will require intermittent full or partial closures at these intersections and traffic detours. These closures and detours will not occur simultaneously, and the City will issue a notice on each as they take place.
