Beginning today, Friday, May 5 and anticipated to last until Friday, June 2, the southbound lane of South Forest Avenue will be closed to vehicular traffic for underground utility installations. Southbound South Forest Avenue will be detoured south on Washtenaw Avenue to west on South University Avenue. Northbound traffic will be maintained, along with local vehicular access. Pedestrian thru-traffic will be maintained on one side of the street at all times. Pedestrian access into businesses will be maintained with the use of temporary surfaces (e.g., rubber mats).
