South State Street lane closures for high voltage duct installation (September 10-Mid-March)

Anticipated to begin on Monday September 10, and lasting through mid-March, shifting lane closures will occur along S. State Street between Oakbrook Drive and Granger Avenue for ongoing installation of a high voltage duct bank by DTE. The work will be executed in phases. During Phase 1 (anticipated to last from September 10-December 15), drivers can expect shifting lane closures. Two-way traffic will be maintained, but drivers can expect delays. During upcoming U-M home football game day weekends, all lanes of traffic will be maintained in both directions beginning on Thursday evenings and lasting until Monday morning. Subsequent phases will involve more significant lane closures and additional information will be shared in upcoming traffic updates as the exact timing, areas of construction, and detours are determined. Units should anticipate providing directions to their buildings from I-94 via a detoured route for late Fall and Winter Semester.
