Beginning Tuesday, April 18 and continuing through Tuesday, April 25, weather permitting, contractors will conduct Stage II of the Stadium Boulevard reconstruction project. This work will include construction of new water mains across the east half of the Stadium Boulevard-South Main Street intersection. Immediately after completion of Stage II, the contractor will implement Stage III and construct the water mains across the west half of the intersection.
East Stadium Boulevard will remain completely closed to through traffic between South Main Street and South Industrial Highway, while local access to Kipke Drive, the University of Michigan Golf Course, and the Ann Arbor Golf and Outing Club will continue to be maintained. New lane reductions will be in place on South Main Street leaving only one lane open in each direction near the Stadium Boulevard-South Main Street intersection.
