On Monday, July 24 beginning mid-morning and anticipated to last until late afternoon, the Kipke Drive-East Stadium Boulevard intersection will be closed to all vehicular traffic for asphalt paving. Local access only to Kipke Drive and adjacent U-M parking lots and buildings will be maintained from the north via Greene Street and East Keech Avenue during the closure. Drivers on Kipke Drive will not be able to exit to or enter from East Stadium Boulevard and South Industrial Highway during this closure, although access to the U-M Golf Course driveway will be maintained from the east. U-M bus routes are not anticipated to be affected. It is anticipated that the remainder of East Stadium Boulevard from South Main Street to Kipke Drive will reopen to all vehicular traffic in the first week of August.
Also beginning Monday, July 24 and anticipated to last approximately four weeks, South Main Street will be reduced to one lane of traffic in each direction at the Stadium Boulevard intersection to allow for construction of the west half of the intersection.
