Groundcover

Technical illustration of groundcover planting instructions with dimensions and notes.

Detail Text Description

A technical illustration detailing a planting method for groundcover. The upper section of the image displays a cross-sectional view of planted groundcover. At the top, there is a row of four plants with visible leaves, situated on a bed of processed mulch labeled as “2” depth processed mulch.” The roots of the plants extend into the soil, beneath the mulch layer, marked by the label “set plants with roots completely in planting soil.” Below the plants, a horizontal layer signifies the “planting mixture as specified.” The diagram includes measurements, with a vertical line indicating “12”” along the soil depth and “2”” above the mulch layer. An annotation above the plants notes that the width “varies.”

In the bottom section of the image, there is a note outlining additional instructions: “If groundcover is planted within tree or shrub saucer, plant to edge of saucer.” The word “GROUNDCOVER” appears in bold, followed by “no scale.”
