A technical diagram illustrating the grounding configuration for a manhole. The top half shows a square frame with annotations indicating the connection points of a #4/0 AWG bare copper cable along the perimeter. This cable is connected at various inserts using spring nuts and Burndy GB clamps. Instructions specify connecting the ground cable from all duct runs. The bottom half of the diagram shows a cross-section of the ground rods configuration. Ground rods with a diameter of 3/4 inches and #4/0 risers are encased in grout. The grout is a polyurethane chemical designed to prevent water intrusion.
