Detail Text Description

A technical drawing illustrating the cross-section of a conduit penetrating a new membrane roof. The central element is a vertical cylindrical conduit labeled “EXISTING RIGID CONDUIT PENETRATION TO REMAIN.” Surrounding the conduit are several layers of roofing materials, each labeled with corresponding names. Starting from the outermost layer, the labels are: “NEW WATER CUT-OFF MASTIC,” “NEW CLAMP RING,” “NEW BONDING ADHESIVE,” “NEW EPDM FLASHING,” “EPDM MEMBRANE,” “½” FIBERBOARD,” “RIGID INSULATION,” and “EXISTING ROOF DECK.” An arrow marks each label pointing to its respective component. The dimension from EPDM flashing and mastic is 8″ MIN.
