A technical diagram of a post mounted underground service. At the top of the diagram is a weatherproof panelboard, specified as 100A, 120/240V, 1-P, 3W, NEMA 3R. Below the panelboard, there is a support channel labeled as “angle iron beeline, unistrut.” A meter box is placed under the support, supplied by Detroit Edison and installed by a contractor. The grounding electrode conductor is marked as #6 minimum. There is a 2-inch rigid galvanized steel conduit and a 2-inch PVC conduit. The setup includes a 3-foot minimum and 2-foot maximum for underground placement, with a PVC/galvanized steel conduit adaptor at the bottom. The post is a minimum of 2 inches galvanized and adjacent to an 8-foot ground rod encased in concrete, marked at 3000 PSI. Various components are noted, including a ½-inch bolt, pipe hanger or strap, and cap. Measurements indicate 42 inches minimum and 6 feet maximum above ground.
