Detail Text Description

A technical diagram illustrating the LPS freeze protection detail for a cooling tower. The diagram is composed of labeled lines and shapes indicating various components and system flows. Low Ressure Steam (LPS) is piped into the stainless steel tower sump with insulated black steel piping. LPS pipe outside of tower sump is pitched away. Inside the tower, uninsulated stainless steel piping connect 1/2″ vacuum breaker (check valve) and check valve are above high water line, but below grate to the steam injector at bottom of tower sump with . Overflow stand pipe is a separate pipe inside tower basin.
