U-M Spring Commencement is scheduled for Saturday, May 3 at Michigan Stadium. Gates will be open at 8:00 AM and the ceremony will last from approximately 10:00 AM to 11:45 AM. During this time, all streets except Kipke Drive and East Keech Street will be open to traffic as usual. Kipke Drive will have restricted access while East Keech Street will remain 2-way traffic with limited access. A heavy volume of graduate and guest foot traffic is anticipated from Central Campus to Michigan Stadium, and traffic congestion should be expected in the stadium area between 8:00 AM and 1:00 PM. Also, please be aware that Ann Arbor-Saline Road between Eisenhower Parkway and Lohr Road is under construction and southbound access to I-94 from the stadium area will be detoured to the South State Street on-ramps via South Main Street and Eisenhower Parkway. Ann Arbor City Police will manage traffic and pedestrian flow at the South Main Street and Stadium Boulevard intersection. U-M Transit Services will provide round trip shuttle service from all major hotels and designated surface lots and parking structures.
