Beginning Tuesday morning, November 4 and lasting until Thursday evening, November 6, eastbound North University Avenue will be closed between South Thayer Street and Fletcher Street for cleaning and lining work on storm sewer pipes within the two eastbound lanes of the roadway. Eastbound vehicular traffic will be detoured via South Thayer Street, East Washington Street and Fletcher Street. Eastbound bus traffic will be detoured via East Huron Street and Fletcher Street. Access to the Mason Hall loading dock area (parking lots C1 and C2) will be maintained from North University Avenue. Pedestrian access on the south side of North University Avenue and the crosswalks at Ingalls Mall/North University Avenue will be maintained throughout the majority of the project, with potential localized intermittent sidewalk closures and posted detours. It should be noted that a non-toxic odor may be detected during the storm sewer lining curing process.
