Scheduled to begin Monday, May 12 and lasting until Tuesday, May 20, South State Street between South University Avenue and Monroe Street will be closed to all through vehicle traffic for utility installation within the South State Street at East Madison Street intersection. Regular vehicle traffic will be detoured via Monroe Street, Tappan Avenue, and South University Avenue. U-M North and South Commuter buses and AAATA Route 6 and Route 36 buses will also follow detour routes with temporary relocated bus stops; more information can be found at the U-M Parking & Transportation Services homepage and at the AAATA homepage. Sidewalks will not be impacted by the lane closures and pedestrians will be able to move through this area normally.
