Beginning Saturday, October 25 and lasting through Friday, October 31, South State Street will have intermittent single lane closures between South University Avenue and East William Street for the relocation of the existing crosswalk at the Literature, Science, and the Arts (LSA) Building to a new location just north of the Michigan Union.  Two way traffic will be maintained at all times by flaggers, however motorists may wish to use an alternate route to avoid slow traffic.  U-M and AAATA bus routes will be maintained through this section of South State Street with temporary shifts in bus stop locations to accommodate construction activity.  In addition, work will require the temporary closure of the sidewalk on the east and west side of South State Street.  Pedestrians will be directed around the construction site utilizing existing walkways in front of the Michigan Union and the U-M Museum of Art.
The South Division Street closure for Munger will also re-open Saturday, October 25.
