Anticipated to begin in early March and last through the late fall, lane closures will be in effect on South University Avenue between East University Avenue and South State Street as part of a joint U-M and City of Ann Arbor South University Avenue infrastructure and utility upgrades project. Emergency access and local delivery access to loading docks will be maintained. Northern sidewalk closures will be in effect and pedestrian detours will be posted in the field. The southern sidewalk will remain open throughout the course of the project with the exception of some short, intermittent, spot closures for excavation activities. Additional information will be shared in upcoming traffic updates as the exact timing and areas of construction and impacts are determined.
