Computer Science and Engineering Building

Overview

The 104,000 gross square foot Computer Science and Engineering Building will be a state-of-the-art instructional and academic facility to support computer science, information technology and related activities, and student learning spaces. The new facility will also house the College of Engineering’s computer science and engineering faculty, as well as accompanying technical and support staff. The facility will be four floors, plus a penthouse for mechanical equipment and will consist of approximately 60,000 net square feet of space housing offices, research labs, instructional space and common space. A phased construction schedule is planned in order to minimize disruption of the academic calendar, with construction scheduled to begin in Fall 2003 and be completed in Winter 2006.
