Overview
The existing scoreboards in Crisler Arena and Michigan Stadium were installed in 1998 and in Yost Ice Arena in 2001. The technology of these scoreboards has become obsolete and the boards no longer meet current expectations. Scoreboards using light-emitting diode (LED) technology provide much sharper resolution, extensive flexibility, and opportunities for display programming. The Department of Intercollegiate Athletics proposes the replacement of the existing scoreboards with new, state-of-the-art LED units. To address the anticipated construction in Crisler Arena, this project will relocate the central control room to Michigan Stadium.
