Detail Text Description

A cross-sectional diagram depicting a conduit passing through an existing exterior wall. The conduit is encased within a larger sleeve which is embedded into the wall structure. The upper portion of the wall is shown with detailed construction elements, including labels describing the necessary application of materials and assembly techniques. A 1/4″ plate collar is welded to the sleeve and set with an expansion bolt into the wall. The sleeve is sealed with tightly packed non-asbestos rope and/or silicone-based sealant. There is a central steel pipe conduit positioned inside the sleeve. The exterior surfaces of the sleeve are coated with a tar compound, as indicated by the annotations.
