Stockwell Hall Renovation

Overview

The 142,000-gross-square-foot renovation of the six-story Stockwell Hall will preserve the building’s historical character while creating new spaces in the vacated dining areas. Dining services for Stockwell’s approximately 425 student residents will be moved to the new Hill Dining Center that will serve all four residence halls in the Hill Neighborhood area. New spaces within the facility will revitalize the residence hall and create much-needed spaces for student interaction, creation of community, and living and learning activities. Additionally, approximately 2,000 square feet of current outdoor courtyard space will be converted to occupiable interior space. Infrastructure upgrades will include new plumbing, heating, cooling, ventilation, fire detection and suppression systems, wired and wireless high-speed network access, renovated bath facilities and accessibility improvements.
