New Men’s Gymnastics Training Center

The University of Michigan’s men’s gymnastics team is the 2025 NCAA National Champion. The team’s existing practice facility, located in the Coliseum building, is in poor condition and planned for demolition to allow for future university development. To support the program’s continued success, the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics proposes constructing a new approximately 28,000-gross-square-foot Men’s Gymnastics Training Center adjacent to the Bahna Wrestling Center. The proposed state-of-the-art facility will include dedicated gymnastics practice areas, team and coach locker rooms, athletic training and recovery spaces, and coaching and staff offices. The project will permanently displace approximately 70 parking spaces.
